Olivia Flenley

"A wonderfully delicate and original voice which sets her apart from the hordes of samey acoustic singer-singwriters. Very occasionally someone comes along with a sound that is truly different, and that is always an exciting discovery; Flenley is one of those artists"

Stevie Wyatt, Halfmoon Putney

Already a passionate singer, Oliviaís recording career began aged 5 on receipt of a brown Fisher Price tape recorder. She later progressed to flute and before long began expressing herself through composition, soon learning that her true creative desire was in her voice. On graduating from university she began a career in environmental education and ecology, whilst continuing to develop her song writing and vocal technique.

Oliviaís first solo performance confirmed to her that music would have to take higher priority in her life, and since then she has performed regularly in and around London. Her music is greatly influenced by her sensitive nature, and strong connection with the environment. Brought up in a folk loving family, her emotive melodies and complimenting guitar style reflect an honest response to diverse artists such as Jeff Buckley, Simon & Garfunkel, and Martha Wainwright, whilst creating a fresh soulful style.
